Lesson 1: Seer and Prophet: Two Prophetic Streams

The “prophet” and the “seer” represent two different dimensions of receiving messages from God to His people. The prophet is the communicative dimension, hearing primarily through words, and the seer is the receptive dimension, experiencing God’s communication mainly through pictures, visions, and dreams. This opening lesson clarifies the purpose of both giftings and explores the deep meanings of each in the original Hebrew. Both are meant to reveal the glorious wonders of Jesus Christ, God’s purpose in a generation, and the life of God to individuals in every sphere of society, the world, and more.

Lesson 2: Dimensions of the Prophetic Anointing

In this lesson, you will learn seven unique ways that the prophetic anointing can be received and released, including the purpose of each along with biblical and contemporary examples. These include dreams and visions, the proclamation of God’s corporate purpose, God’s heart standards, the church’s social responsibilities and actions, administrative strategies of God, prophetic worship leaders, and prophetic intercession. You will also discover five additional prophetic anointings the Holy Spirit wants to release more of in this day and age.

Lesson 3: Vision: The Power That Sustains

Scripture tells us that where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained (or perish). It is vital that you learn to set your sights on God’s goals and priorities for your life. Developing your capacity to see in the Spirit is part of learning to receive communication from God in all the ways He speaks. This lesson presents many examples of biblical prophetic leaders, including Jesus Himself, and looks at the ways they processed and cultivated their ability to “see” in the Spirit, thereby giving you the tools to do the same in your own life.

Lesson 4: The Diversity of Visionary States

There is only one Holy Spirit, but He works and speaks in multifaceted ways — including visionary states and experiences. In this lesson, you will explore eight different Greek words that describe unique aspects of visionary revelation, including dreams, visions while asleep, waking visions, internal or external visions, apparitions, trances, divine revelations, and to be “in the Spirit.” This lesson will explore profound examples from Scripture to expand your perception of ways you too can see spiritually!

Lesson 5: Wisely Judging Revelatory Encounters

Regardless of the various ways God speaks to us, it is imperative that you interpret the message properly to receive the wisdom, understanding, and counsel He is imparting. Subjective revelation must be checked against the Word of God. In this lesson, you will receive nine solid scriptural tests for judging and discerning such revelation, and learn how to test every spirit to find out whether it is from God, the devil, or your own flesh. You will also discuss two foundational building blocks that are essential to establish in order to grow in discernment.

Lesson 6: The Gift of Discerning of Spirits

Can you confidently discern between spirits? Discerning of spirits is the supernatural capacity to judge whether the motivating spirit behind certain words or deeds is human, demonic, or divine. This powerful spiritual gift can discern in four different categories: Holy Spirit, angels, human spirits, and evil spirits. This lesson will explore the purpose behind discerning of spirits, uncover many examples of its use in Scripture, and teach you six important guidelines for operating in this gift in your own life.

Lesson 7: Dream Language

Dreams are one of the three different avenues (along with visions and trances) of visionary revelation the Holy Spirit uses to speak into our lives. Scripture and church history, as demonstrated in this lesson, are packed with examples of God speaking to His people in dreams and He is consistent in His symbolic language. In this lesson, you will learn foundational guidelines to implement in your journey of learning to interpret dreams, first using Scripture and then your own life. You will also receive a helpful classification of symbols and colors, along with the basic principles of interpreting numbers within your dreams.

Lesson 8: Categories of Supernatural Visions,

Parts 1 & 2

In this two-part lesson, you will explore 12 different categories of supernatural visions. Each type includes a scriptural reference, a definition, examples, applications, and additional cautions or insights when relevant. Part 1 will cover spiritual perception, pictorial vision, panoramic vision, dreams (sleeping vision), audible message, and appearance (apparition), while Part 2 unwraps divine sight, open heaven, trance, out-of-body experience, translation, and heavenly visitation. These diverse supernatural visions are not just for Bible stories but are relevant for hearing from God today!

Lesson 9: The Ecstatic Realms of the Spirit

Did you know that you can be shocked, amazed, and joyfully “caught up” in your emotions due to the wondrous activity of the Holy Spirit? In an alternative response, your natural bodily functions may be temporarily “put on pause,” as with a trance. Either way, the Greek word for “trance,” ekstasis, denotes a positive experience and is where we get the word “ecstasy.” This lesson will explore different ecstatic experiences represented in Scripture and shed light on what it means to see, hear, feel, taste, touch, or even smell the presence of the Lord in an “otherly” sort of way.

Lesson 10: Standing in the Council of God

Some aspects of God’s character are very much like ours. He has revelation — or secrets — that He doesn’t just share with anyone, but rather with His intimate friends. In this lesson, you will learn what it means to stand in the council of God — whether in the body, apart from the body, or out of the body. You will also discover hindrances to receiving God’s counsel and dynamics of the fear of the Lord. Finally, you will receive wisdom ways for allowing God to be in control of your subjective experiences.

Lesson 11: Hidden Streams of the Prophetic

One way you can discover the road to greater intimacy with God is through the Christian practice of contemplative prayer. This is not a technique or “new age” approach to meditation, but rather the pursuit of experiencing communion with God Himself. Better described, contemplative prayer allows you to become aware of the presence of God and live out of that awareness. This lesson will unpack the goals and benefits of contemplative prayer, cautions and important places of balance to maintain, and how to find rest in God’s presence. It will also clarify the differences between this type of communion with God and any false comparison to practices of Eastern religions.

Lesson 12: The Key of Intimacy to Open Heavens

Our desperate need today is to be so hungry for God that we cry out for open heavens over our lives, our families, and our cities! Is Jesus “at home” in your house? God is looking for candidates in this generation who will be seated with Christ in the heavenly places and call forth God’s destiny and design into the earthly realm. In this final lesson, you’ll explore several inspiring accounts of how this has happened in the lives of believers throughout history and receive an invitation to intimately pursue the God of visitation so you can accomplish the seer’s ultimate goal — to reveal Christ Jesus!
